No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream review

I am a huge lover of Boots. I could buy everything and anything from Boots, I adore it. I recently got my Boots advantage card and within about two weeks I had £5 worth of points on it- yes I’m slightly obsessed. So when Boots were handing out No7 vouchers for £5 off skincare and £3 off makeup, naturally I used them.

I bought the No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream in the skin type ‘Normal/Oily’. Recently I’ve become more interested in my skin care routine, so I decided to give No7 a try.

Firstly, the moisturiser smells amazing. I think my Nan must use it because it reminds me of her- it’s a clean and fresh scent, so naturally your skin smells beautiful. Also, a little goes a long way with the formula so it’s likely that the product will last, so at £13.50 it’s worth the investement- especially with the £5 off No7 vouchers!

However, I have to admit- I don’t love this product. For some reason, when I apply this to my skin, once it’s dried it seems to rub off in little bits and it’s quite dry. I think this is because it’s supposed to ‘mattify’ the skin.

In the morning, after using this cream the night before, my makeup was terrible. Along my nose my foundation seemed to ‘crack’ and my coverage was terrible. This moisturiser does not set your skin well.

All in all, this moisturiser has its pros and cons. But although it smells amazing and a little goes a long way, I can’t look past how dry it made my skin and how awful my foundation looked. This might suit your skin if you’re very oily, but for me it’s just not right.
